Writing romance is all fun and games…until you’re stuck wondering what’s working and what’s falling flat.
When writing your heart story, it can be hard to see beyond those initial sparks that drove you to the page. But after that first thrill, questions creep in: What’s missing? Does this scene work? Is the story doing what I need it to? And…what even is pacing?
The Romance Incubator is a small, discussion-based writing community for romance writers who want to develop their craft, strengthen their feedback skills, and work in a supportive space.
6 participants will be chosen through a short application and 10-page sample.
Over 8 weeks, participants will share pages, read each other’s work, and engage in guided, compassionate critique.
The focus is on learning to identify strengths and weaknesses in your writing, giving and receiving feedback effectively, and supporting each other in shaping your heart story.
This is a romance-only space grounded in care, conversation, and abundance.

Participants will be chosen intentionally through an application to be paired with a critique partner.
Critique partners will connect and support one another between sessions (and hopefully beyond the incubator).

Finish with a Roadmap
After the incubator ends, wrap up with a 30-minute individual session with the incubator facilitator to clarify strengths, pinpoint issues, and plan your next steps.
